Taking Care of Myself

by Luis Cuauhtemoc Berriozabal

I
HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF MYSELF for a very long time. I have been snorting spinach to keep up my strength. I have been playing golf with medicine balls. I smash them into the ocean and watch them make giant waves. I don’t have the need for medicine. I don’t even need an aspirin. All I need is spinach and water. If the voice of my dead mother ever comes back, I just clap my hands until the intensity of her voice is squashed. She practiced witchcraft on me for a long time. However, I am feeling much better now.
