Born in the Philippines and raised on Long Island, Gerald So attended Catholic elementary and high schools, both by choice. He stopped after earning a Master's in Creative Writing, not wanting to be a seldom-published Ph.D. He's parlayed a love of crime fiction into positions as Fiction Editor of The Thrilling Detective Web Site, reviewer for Crimespree Cinema, and editor of the upcoming print journal, The Lineup: Poems on Crime.
