the girls went out dancing
and we stayed home to play xbox
so everyone got what they wanted
yet i knew something was wrong
when i shot an alien from behind
and my mind gushed with images
of her surrounded by smelly
boys with breath so close to her
body swaying and music rattling
stomach acid gurgling
alien blood everywhere and me
in the open, watching it happen,
distracted just long enough.
