Today I got married.
Had to get married.
It was time
and the woman was right.
Hadn’t I seen sparrows
bearing twigs to their nests.
Didn’t the neighbor’s dog howl
but from the heart not the gut this time.
And the storm clouds broke,
sun shone through.
It was a sign.
Really, the omens are everywhere.
Night follows day,
seasons turn,
make the world go around
so love won’t have to
