from yesterday I walk
into this frame
your arms a necklace

lead chain
around my shoulders

I place silent words
upon your flowered lips
whisper in a motion
settle on your silk
for just one perfect moment
I feel your supple kiss
my tight shut eyes
then open

yet all I see is green--
spiky stems
and bursting buds

like seven demons
to the skin of Magdalene

I am dirtied.
