I am an avid reader and writer existing in the southeast corner of Pennsylvania. I am currently studying creative writing and I enjoy hot-gluing...read more random objects together.

I was programmed
Conditioned
Without error
Veins, the conductive wires
Brain, the motherboard

He was a faulty system
Broken into pieces smaller
Than what made him, discarded
By society, but society
Doesn’t need another
Refined product, product
Of brainless computations
Ticking on the same clock
As every other hand

Society needs a broken
System to break it
Open, out of the small
Eight-point-five by eleven
Box built from numbers and letters
It’s placed itself in. It needs
To spill out into an endless horizon
Of possibility, anticipation
Novelty, color
Fragmented tempo and
Bright, bright, bright
Darkness

Needs to be given space
To grow new
New code, rewired, turned off
And back on again, reset
Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
Can we only repeat?
